Bread
  • 4 rolls Italian sub rolls or hoagie rolls
Meats
  • 4 oz salami
  • 4 oz capicola
  • 4 oz mortadella
Cheese
  • 4 oz provolone cheese
Vegetables
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 medium tomato sliced
  • 1 medium red onion thinly sliced
  • 1 medium pepperoncini sliced
Condiments
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for drizzling
  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar for drizzling
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning for sprinkling

Method
 

Assemble the Sandwich
  1. Slice the Italian sub rolls in half lengthwise.
  2. Layer the salami, capicola, and mortadella evenly on the bottom half of each roll.
  3. Add a slice of provolone cheese on top of the meats.
  4. Top with shredded lettuce, sliced tomato, red onion, and pepperoncini.
  5. Drizzle with olive oil and red wine vinegar, then sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
  6. Close the sandwich with the top half of the roll and press down gently.
  7. Cut the sandwich in half if desired and serve immediately.
