How to Make Date, Walnut, and Orange Cake
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan with butter or nonstick spray.
- Soak the chopped dates in boiling water for about 10 minutes until plump. Drain and set aside.
- Whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt in a separate bowl.
- Cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well. Stir in the orange zest, orange juice, and soaked dates.
- Fold in the dry ingredients gradually until just combined. Gently incorporate the chopped walnuts.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 45-50 minutes.
