  • 2.25 tsp active dry yeast ensure it’s fresh

  • 2 tbsp fresh rosemary finely chopped; substitute with dried if necessary
  • 4 cloves roasted garlic or fresh garlic for a sharper taste

Method
 

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water with the active dry yeast and let it sit for about 5 minutes, until it becomes foamy.
  2. Gradually stir in the all-purpose flour, salt, chopped rosemary, and roasted garlic until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap and allow the dough to rise at room temperature for about 2 hours, or until doubled in size.
  4. Lightly flour your countertop and gently scrape the dough onto it. Shape the dough into a ball.
  5. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) with your Dutch oven inside.
  6. Transfer the shaped dough into the hot Dutch oven, cover with the lid, and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the lid and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
