Ingredients
  

Hot Dogs
  • 12 links hot dogs preferably beef or pork
Rub
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
Sauce
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce your favorite brand
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Method
 

Prepare the Hot Dogs
  1. Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).
  2. Slice the hot dogs into bite-sized pieces, about 1-inch thick.
  3. In a bowl, mix together all the rub ingredients until well combined.
  4. Toss the hot dog pieces in the rub until evenly coated.
Smoking the Hot Dogs
  1. Place the coated hot dog pieces in the smoker and smoke for about 1 hour.
  2. After 1 hour, wrap the hot dog pieces in aluminum foil and return to the smoker for another 30 minutes.
Finishing Touches
  1. Remove the hot dogs from the foil and place them back in the smoker.
  2. Brush the BBQ sauce mixed with honey over the hot dogs and smoke for an additional 30 minutes.
  3. Remove from the smoker and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
