  • 1 medium Onion Diced, yellow or red.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Ground.
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Powder Adjust for heat preference.
  • 1 large Egg Acts as a binder.
  • to taste Salt and Pepper Essential seasonings.
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil For cooking.
  • 4 buns Burger Buns Whole grain or gluten-free.
  • as desired Toppings (Lettuce, Tomato, Avocado) Fresh toppings.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Gather all your ingredients including canned black beans, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, spices, and toppings.
  2. Rinse and drain the black beans to prevent mushiness.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, mash the black beans until mostly smooth but slightly chunky.
  4. Chop onion and garlic finely and sauté them in a pan with olive oil for about 5 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Mix the sautéed onion and garlic into the mashed black beans along with breadcrumbs and spices.
