Method
Prepare the crust
- In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Mix until well combined.
- Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish to form a crust.
Make the filling
- In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth.
- Fold in the whipped topping until fully incorporated.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture over the crust evenly.
- Layer the sliced bananas on top of the cream cheese filling.
- Sprinkle the chopped nuts over the bananas, then drizzle with chocolate syrup.
- Top with maraschino cherries for decoration.
Chill and serve
- Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours to set before serving.
- Cut into squares and serve chilled.
