Prepare the Ribs
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor and tenderness.
- In a mixing bowl, combine all dry rub ingredients and mix well.
- Rub the dry mixture all over the ribs, ensuring they are evenly coated. Let them sit for at least 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.
Cook the Ribs
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the ribs in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded. You may need to cut them in half to fit.
- Cook the ribs for 25 minutes, flipping halfway through for even cooking.
- Check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer; it should reach at least 145°F (63°C).
Finish and Serve
- Brush the ribs with barbecue sauce and cook for an additional 5 minutes in the air fryer to caramelize the sauce.
- Remove the ribs from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- Serve with extra barbecue sauce on the side.
