Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)
  • 12 Oreo cookies

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually add to the wet mixture until a dough forms.
  5. Gently fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Scoop about two tablespoons of dough, flatten it slightly, place an Oreo in the center, and wrap the dough around it completely. Repeat with remaining dough.
  7. Place stuffed cookie balls on prepared baking sheets about 2 inches apart and bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden while centers remain soft. Allow to cool on sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
