  • 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 cup whole milk (warm)
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts & pistachios)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup honey
  • ½ cup water

Instructions

  1. Warm milk to lukewarm and mix in yeast; let it activate for about 5 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and the yeast mixture. Add melted butter and knead until smooth (about 10 minutes).
  3. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about an hour until doubled in size.
  4. Mix chopped nuts with cinnamon and sugar for the filling.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread melted butter, and sprinkle with the nut mixture.
  6. Roll tightly into a log, slice into equal pieces, and place in a greased baking pan.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Drizzle warm honey syrup over buns right after removing from the oven.
