Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries (mashed; frozen works too)
  • Powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
  3. Whisk in the eggs one at a time and add vanilla extract until glossy.
  4. Sift together flour and cocoa powder in another bowl; fold into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, mash half of the raspberries. Swirl this mixture into the brownie batter.
  6. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, dollop raspberry mixture on top, then pour remaining batter over it. Gently swirl with a knife.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs. Let cool slightly before serving.
